Julie Townsend

Julie Townsend is the former Executive Director of the Downtown Lakeland Partnership. As a volunteer for the DLP prior to her employment, she and two downtown merchants created First Friday - arguably Downtown Lakeland's most successful ongoing event. Under Julie's leadership the DLP also created Brewz Crewz Craft Beer Festival, a successful fundraiser for the DLP and Elderpoint Ministries. She volunteers her marketing know-how for annual events like Spring Obsession and Lake Morton Historic Home and Garden Tour.
Julie now owns her own web site development and social media management company, MediaLakeland, with partner Chuck Welch. Originally from New Orleans, Julie moved to Lakeland in 1999 and lives in the Lake Morton Historic District.
